United Methodist Men

The United Methodist men is just that...the MEN of Atascocita United Methodist Church. We are leaders and supporters of various missions and ministries in the Church and in the community. One of the special projects we have worked on in the past is the Mobile Medical Clinic II. See the Mobile Medical Clinic page for details and pictures of our efforts!

Bible Study
MoMENtum weekly bible study meets each Monday at 6:30pm. Meetings are held at Christophers near the intersection of Atascocita Rd. and Timber Forest Dr. We meet monthly, usually on the 3rd Tuesday in the Narthex for a business meeting with a short devotional over desert and coffee.
We are currently studying the books of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon.
Prayer Trail
Our Prayer Trail is showing constant improvement as the various prayer stations are completed by the sponsoring groups. The Easter Sunrise Worship service held in the worship area of the trail and let by the AUMC Youth was a very spiritual occasion.
The Prayer Trail consists of a loop trail with 11 "sponsored" prayer stations, a worship area, and a scout activity area. If your small group would like to sponsor one of the remaining prayer stations, please contact Walter Balderach with your request.
Golf Tournament
Our primary fund-raising activity is the Annual Golf Tournament. The proceeds from our 2011 event amounted to just over $15,000. Since 1995 we have realized over $135,000 from the tournaments held in those years.
Support Our First Responders
The national United Methodist Men have a goal to distribute 1 Million copies of this book to our Military Men & Women. Your support of this vital national outreach will send the word of God to those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
Recently the Methodist Men of AUMC allocated $1000 towards our current Strength for Service project. An additional $400 was donated by our members. These funds were used to purchase Strength for Service daily devotion books which were then distributed to the first responders in our area on September 11, 2011.
To order additional books: Cokesbury; 201 8th Ave.; P. O. Box 801; Nashville, TN 37202-0801 or call toll free: 800-672-1789
