Pastor's Report - Goals for 2010

Radical Hospitality

AUMC must continue its growth momentum for the glory of God.  We will put plans in place in 2010 to grow by 10% in net professing members.

Passionate Worship

Worship attendance is the single best measurement of worship health. Passionate worship is defined as “connecting people to God and to each other.”  In 2010, I would like to see our worship grow by at least 5%.

Faith-Forming Relationships

Disciples grow in love of God and neighbor in small groups.  In 2010, we should continue to grow in small group participation, approaching a target of 50% of our active congregation in small group ministry.

Risk-Taking Mission

Our goal is to grow in our relevance in extending Christ in our local, regional, and global communities.  We plan to launch adult missions’ involvement in one U.S. mission trip and one foreign mission trip.  We plan to have 15% of our congregation involved in mission activities.

Extravagant Generosity

Our goals in 2010 are to fully pay our apportionments and to increase congregational giving by 15%.
