A Sisterhood for Breast Cancer Support

"The Pink Ladies" of AUMC's "A Sisterhood for Breast Cancer Support" group is blessing over 15 members.  If you, a family member, or someone you know has been diagnosed with breast cancer, our support group is a place where one can receive support, help, and love from members that have been through the same journey.  It is a club that we never thought we would join, but now we can find the support we need from women that have experienced the same thing or something like it.

Through these support group meetings we discuss:

• Diet and exercise
• Emotional support
• Assist women to reach out and help others experiencing the effects of breast cancer with support.
• Spiritual support for moving beyond the diagnosis and treatment.

Women of all ethnicities diagnosed with breast cancer are welcome; especially, those who desire to live a more healthy and spiritual life through the belief that God is working in and through us.

Our meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 6:30pm at Atascocita United Methodist Church, 19325 Pinehurst Trail Dr. Humble, TX  77346.  For more information contact:

Pink Ladies in Komen Race for the Cure

Our Pink Ladies of AUMC walked in the Race for the Cure in Houston on Saturday, October 1, 2011.  We had over 40 members and are still raising funds for breast cancer research.  Last year we had over 50 members walk with us and raised over $12,000!!  You can still donate!!  Please go to the website: www.komen-houston.org and click on donate, then search for team:  Pink Ladies of AUMC.
