Channel 39 Coverage of Our Mobil Medical Clinic
The United Methodist Men "MoMENtum" recently completed their second Mobile Medical Clinic by completely refurbishing a 40' shipping container. The container was delivered to us during the first week of February 2010 and work was completed in April 2010. The clinic was designated for delivery to Haiti to initially help earthquake victims but it will last much longer than that (design life is for a minimum of 10 years).
Previously the United Methodist Men took on the project of a Mobile Medical Clinic in 2007. The projects are coordinated with Christian Alliance in Pearland, TX.
During the conversions, wiring and plumbing is installed, sheet rock and flooring are placed, and paint and finish work is done.
The finished clinics include three examination stations with privacy clinics, sinks with water filtration, storage area with supplies, an air-conditioning unit, and an optional gasoline-powered generator.
