Kristin Bogart - Biography

Reverend Kristin Bogart has been in professional church ministry for 18 years.  Her career began at Cypress Trails UMC serving as Ministries Facilitator and earning certification in Christian Education from the GBHEM.  In 2002, Kristin became a local pastor serving a two point charge (Aldine First/Hillcrest).  She has also served John Wesley UMC as Pastor of Adult Education and Tomball UMC as Pastor of Caring Ministries.  In 2010, Kristin was ordained as and Elder in Full connection while serving here in Atascocita.  Kristin’s passions in ministry include teaching Bible study, exploring the Word of God, worship, and prayer.

Born in California and raised in Colorado, Kristin has been in the Spring area for more than 20 years and considers Houston home.  She has two college-aged daughters, Anna and Ashley.  Anna is married to Mike Beatty and continues her studies at Texas A&M as an English major.  Ashley is studying at Blinn College and anticipates transferring to Texas A&M in January 2012.  She is a History major.

Recently, Kristin married Jack Bogart.  He is an Information Technology Specialist and currently working at BHP Petroleum.  Along with Jack came two bonus children.  His son Dan and Val together will soon have five beautiful daughters.  His daughter Sarah and Tom have one son and two daughters.

Finishing out the family are “Lulu and the boys.”  A miniature dachshund, a miniature schnauzer, and a shih tzu provide entertainment and much ‘puppy love.’

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with Jack, reading, experimenting with new recipes and listening to live music.
