Goodtimers
Goodtimers is a non-denominational group of 50 years plus sponsored by AUMC that meets in the Life Center at 10:00 a.m. For the December 8th meeting of Goodtimers we will be entertained by children from the AUMC Weekday Learning Center. They will be performing some of their Christmas songs that they will be doing for their annual Christmas Program for their parents and families. It will be a delight to watch these very young tots perform. The meeting will begin with fellowship from 10:00am to 10:30am followed by be a brief meeting with the program at 11:00am. Following the program we will have a carry in potluck lunch. Donations of staple foods, such as cans of fruits or vegetables, will be accepted for Saturday's Child. This takes the place of the Christmas Exchange held in previ-ous years. Gifts for Saturday's Child that were not brought to the last meeting are to be brought. For additional information please call President Marlene Mastin at 281-852-8292.
Trips are also planned for Goodtimers with bus transportation provided by Precinct 4. On December 6 there will be a trip to see the TUTS musical "White Christmas" at the Hobby Center. In January a trip is planned to attend a musical "ANNIE JR" at the Crighton Theater in Conroe. This is a watered down version of the Broadway play and movie of "ANNIE" and will be performed by the Christian Youth Theater. Following the 12 noon show we will travel to the Woodlands Mall for lunch and browsing before returning to the AUMC parking lot. Reservations will be taken at the December and January meetings or by calling Clarence or Mae Curie at 281-548-2854. Cost is $6.00.
