Sep 10 - Family Youth Game Night
Game Night will start back up on Friday, September 10th, but this time with a twist. The youth and their families are invited to join us for a night of food, games and fellowship. The gym will be open to basketball and kickball and the welcome center will be set for board games. Everyone bring a main dish or side dish to share. Drinks and desserts will be provided.
Sep 12 - Lemonade on the Lawn
Stay a moment after church and enjoy eating cookies and lemonade and visiting with people who already participate in Sunday school and other small groups.
Sep 12 - Pizza with the Preachers
Sunday, September 12th we will hang out with the preachers at Pastor Kristin’s home - 20318 Spoonwood Dr. from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Parents please drop off and pick up your youth from Pastor Kristin’s home.
Sep 18 - Texas Conference Fall Men's Retreat
AUMC's  will host a Men's Conference on September 18th. Full details are available on the Conference Announcement page.
Sep 26 - 25th Anniversary Potluck
To celebrate AUMC's 25th Anniversary we will have an Anniversary Potluck after the 11:00 service. Come and help celebrating where we have come from and where we are going in the future with joy!

Oct 5 - Putting Your House In Order Seminar
Do you have a plan for your loved ones? This seminar will help you give the loving gift of preparedness to those you love. Don Psencik, from the Texas Methodist Foundation, will present "Putting Your House in Order," a seminar for adults young and old. Included in the seminar is a 32-page workbook (cost $10) to guide you in making important decisions. Don will discuss requirements for a valid will and other estate planning tools. The workbook provides helpful information about needed paperwork including samples of appointments of guardians and a living will.
The presentation will be on Tuesday, October 5 at 6:30 in the Sanctuary. Finger foods will be served, and child care will be available if needed. To ensure we have enough workbooks and food, please sign up in advance. Watch for sign-up sheets before and after upcoming Sunday services, or contact Kevin Parks by email or at 281-225-2530.

Oct 10 - Cardboard Box City
Our church will be hosting the “Cardboard City” event again this year. This event will take place on Sunday, October 10th. House building will begin at 3:00. So start gathering your boxes and be on the lookout for registration forms and additional information.
Oct 15-17 - Fall Youth Retreat
The Fall Youth Retreat will be October 15-17 in Kountze. The retreat theme is “Theology According to Mr. Potato Head.” This is open to all youth (6th-12th) and will sure to be a fun filled, relaxing weekend. Be on the lookout for registration forms and additional information.
