EMail Subscriptions

AUMC is now using a bulk emailer to send our church announcements.  By using a bulk emailer, we allow you to choose which list(s) you want to belong to.  You can subscribe, unsubscribe, or change your email address for any of our emailing lists.  Every time you receive an email from the bulk emailer, AUMC will be readily identified as the sender and there will be a link that you can use to opt out of the list if you so desire.

Note:  In order to ensure that you receive emails from our mailer, you should ensure that any SPAM software you are using does not block email from aumc.org.  You can do this by placing our domain name in your "white" list.

If you have never subscribed/unsubscribed to/from our email lists, the information below will help familiarize you with the routine, otherwise...

Email Subscription Management

To Sign Up (Subscribe) for a list:

1.  Choose the list(s) you want to subscribe to here.  Read the information in the Available Lists area (seen after you click on the link above) and decide which list(s) you want to subscribe to.
2. In the Subscribe/Unsubscribe a List box select the list(s) you want to subscribe to by clicking in the box beside them.
3. Enter your email address in the field provided.
4.  Make sure that Subscribe is selected.
5. Click the green Submit Your Information button.
6.  If your submission was successful, you will see a message stating that your request was successful.  An email will then be sent to the email address you entered and after it is received, you must open it and click on the link in the email to confirm your subscription.  Only then will you actually be subscribed to the list.  If you don't follow through with this double opt-in confirmation you will not be added to the list.

Note:  After you subscribe to any lists, you are encouraged to Register your Profile by looking for and clicking on the Profile Register/Login link seen on any Subscribe/Unsubscribe or confirmation pages.  By doing so you can modify your email address, read archives, and admister other information for all lists that you are subscribed to.

 

To Remove Your Email Address (Unsubscribe) from a list:

1.  Choose the list(s) you want to subscribe to here.  Read the information in the Available Lists area (seen after you click on the link above) and decide which list(s) you want to unsubscribe from.
2. In the Subscribe/Unsubscribe a List box select the list(s) you want to unsubscribe from by clicking in the box beside them.
3. Enter your email address in the field provided.
4.  Make sure that Unsubscribe is selected.
5.  Click the green Submit Your Information button.
5.  If your submission was successful, you will see a message stating that your request was successful.  An email will be sent to the email address you entered and after it is received, you must open it and click on the link in the email to confirm your unsubscription.  Only then will you actually be unsubscribed from the list.  If you don't follow through with this double opt-out confirmation you will not be removed from the list.

Note: You can also Unsubscribe by loggin in to your Profile if you have established a Profile account and going through the unsubscribe process available there.
