Congratulations Meredith Sharp

Good evening Ladies~ Congratulations to The Sharp family on the arrival of their third baby girl, Paige McHaney Sharp. Paige was shocked her parents with her eagerness and own timing to enter the world on Monday morning. Chris, Meredith and Paige came home yesterday and are getting use to being a family of 5. Taylor and Cally immediately fell in love with their new sister. I'm sure they can not wait to show Paige the ins and outs of the world. Meeting reminder

Happy Mother's Day to all of the wonderful moms out there! I hope you all have had had a moment to sit back, relax and enjoy some you time. Remember tomorrow is our May meeting. Emily has planned a wonderful program about Building Bridges. This is phase 1 of 4 : reaching out to others in understanding and acceptance. I know we can all learn something from Emily's program. Try to set a goal this week to reach out and bring someone new to Women's Ministry this week. We will meet at 6:30 for dinner in the Narthex, then head into the Sanctuary for our program and meeting to share the wonderful things that will be happening during the summer months. I hope to see you all tomorrow!

Good Evening Ladies! I hope you are all having a wonderful week and surviving the really busy in our lives right now. I hope each night you have a chance to sit back, relax and really reflect on the wonderful things God has given each of us in life. During those tough times think about the wonderful book that we learned about at the retreat; When I loved myself enough..... Remember, when you love yourself enough, those good things will happen and the tough times won't seem as bad. Next Monday, May 14th will be our monthly meeting. AUMC's Helping Hands

Dear Women of AUMC, This is an invitation to become part of a caring ministry of our church, Helping Hands. This committee, led by Gayle Fuller, provides food and hospitality during memorial or funeral services. Occasionally they are asked to provide cookies and treats at a church function, an example would be “Lemonade on the Lawn” held during our back to school festivities. By joining this group, you will be called when a need for desserts, finger sandwiches, or side dishes are needed. If you are able to provide a dish, you will simply drop it off at the church on the designated date and time. Depending upon the anticipated size of the service or event, you may not be called every time. We also need help in the kitchen, making tea, setting food out for the meal, and cleaning up. Family Promise HELP needed!

Help! I signed up on the wrong sheet for Family Promise and the Connelly's are counting on me to be the overnight host on Mon.,Apr. 23. This is an invitaion for a sleep-over with me while hosting the Family Promise families. I think our job is just to sleep on site. Come on, it will be fun!!! Family Promise's Chicks and Hogs

Hello ladies, This is your friendly AUMC missions chair from women's ministries, Holly Krause, letting you know of some volunteer and giving opportunities availible this month. On April 28th, from 5 p.m. to 8p.m, is the Chicks and Hogs event at the Kingwood Harley Davidson. This event is a fundraiser for the group Family Promise, which helps transition homeless families to independent living. Our church participates monthly when families stay with us at night for a week at a time. This is a big event and if you are interested in volunteering , please contact Lyle Drews at <a href="mailto:lyle@netsalesdirect.com">lyle@netsalesdirect.com</a> . For those unable to volunteer, or just interested in helping even more, we will be collecting donation items at our next monthly meeting on May 14th. Items needed are : claritin, pine Sol, size 6 diapers ( but I'm sure others would be accepted as well), Kleenex, and of course prauers for the families during this transitional tie and as they begin their independent life. Next Women's Ministry Meeting

Good Morning Ladies~ I hope you are having a great start of Holy week. There are so many wonderful things going on during this week.  I hope you are able to take a moment to really reflect what the week means to our church and to yourself. I also wanted to remind you that our next meeting will be next Monday, April 9th, at 6:30 in the Sanctuary.  As always, childcare is provided for those of you who need it.  If you are interesting in helping with dinner, please let me know.  You can join with some of your favorite ladies (or I can let you know who all emails) and make the dishes that you really enjoy.  It's very easy to do.  Please let me know if you are interested.   Have a wonderful Holy week and we will see you on Monday!

And on his farm he had some __??????__ E, I, E, I, O!” Women’s Ministry + Saturday’s Child = March 24th Let’s celebrate our families by showering them with pantry staples! We need LOTS of canned veggies, fruits, and, meats, in addition to the regular requests for bread, cereals, and cheese. When you are shopping, don’t hesitate to pick up 10 of anything! Each family will receive a pre-cooked ham. We have: 1. 10 gallons of milk – Emily & Cherri ***** Both of these ladies have offered to drive, as well. ***** 2. Rice 3. Brownie Mix 4. Cute paper plates You can bring all food to the Susie’s office at any time. If you leave it in the kitchen, please label it as Women’s Ministry. March Meeting Reminder

Good evening Ladies- I hope you are all having a blessed week and are preparing for this rainy weather that is heading our way. This coming Monday, March 12th is our next meeting.  Since it is spring break, our meeting will be held at Hasta La Pasta at 6:30.  Childcare will still be available at the church. We hope to see you all there and fill the room with the wonderful ladies of AUMC! Also, we are in need of help to sell Easter Lillies this Sunday, March 11th.  If you can help, please email Kristin at neumanntk@yahoo.com.  Any help would be great!  Also, if you haven't checked out the Women's Ministry Facebook page, please check it out and like it.  We update it often with reminders, pictures, etc.  Please spread the word. Thanks again to Meredith Sharp and her committee for an awesome weekend!  In case you weren't able to attend, here is a short recap of what we focused on.    We were blessed with the wonderful words of Lisa Beth and were reminded that "It's All About Me!". Remember, 1 John 4:19, "We love because he first loved us." We are perfect in God's eyes and we should not fear what life or others bring.  Each morning we need to remember to ask our self one very important question: When I love myself enough I...... AUMC Living Prayer Center Volunteer Request

Dear Ladies of AUMC, We are scheduled to host the Living Prayer Center this Sunday (February 19th) from 1:00pm until 5:00pm.  The Upper Room® Living Prayer Center is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week intercessory prayer ministry staffed by Christian volunteers.  AUMC volunteers staff the Center for only a few hours each month.  When someone calls, we will answer the phone, receive their prayer request, and pray with them.  There is no counseling involved.  Even if you have not done this before, it takes about 5 minutes to read over the guidelines and become familiar with what is expected.  There is usually always an experienced volunteer present to answer any questions or provide guidance for new participants. Ladies...we sometimes get a request on the phone to specifically speak with a female volunteer.  Without an adequate number of female volunteers, we will not always be able to honor these requests. Please prayerfully consider volunteering this month.  “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ” Galatians 6:2. Meeting Tomorrow Night

Good Afternoon Ladies~ I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day that the Lord has made.  I know some of us are enjoying the cooling temperature and some are wishing for the warmth back.    I wanted to remind you all of our meeting for February.  We will meet tomorrow, MONDAY, February 13th at 6:30 in the main building!  I know this is different, but it is going to be a wonderful meeting!  Dinner will be provided at 6:30 and then we will have our meeting and program at 7:00 in the Sanctuary.  We would love to fill the Narthex and Sanctuary, with a wonderful group of ladies!  Please come join us and bring a friend.  Enjoy the rest of your glorious day!
