AUMC MoMENtum Meeting Reminder

Dear Men of AUMC,

Our January 30 MoMENtum meeting will be held at Christopher's Italian Restaurant at 5324 Atascocita Rd at 6:30pm.  Walter Balderach will continue our study of 1st and 2nd Timothy.  You can prepare for this session by reading 2 Timothy 2: 11-26 and Chapter 3.

Consider the following as you read the scripture:

2 Timothy 2: 11-13. Analyze each of the lines in these two verses for their appropriate meaning.

2 Timothy 2: 14.      For Paul, why were words inadequate for the Christian servant?

2 Timothy 2: 15-18. What do the false teachers mean when they say, "the resurrection has already happened"?

2 Timothy 2: 20-21.  Why this talk of gold and silver vessels and vessels of wood and earthenware?

2 Timothy 2: 22-26.  Timothy is urged to flee from youthful passions and to aim for certain things.  To what is Paul referring?

2 Timothy 3: 1.        What are your thought about "the last days"?

2 Timothy 3: 2-5.    Carefully consider what each of the qualities of a godless life meant to Paul.

2 Timothy 3: 8-9.    What is the fate of the opponents of God?

2 Timothy 3: 10-13.  a.) What does it mean to be a disciple?

b.) What are the characteristics of an apostle?

c.) What are the three instances Paul cites in this passage as times when he had to suffer for Christ?

2 Timothy 3: 14-17.  Paul says we should study scripture for five reasons.  What are they?

Meet at 6:30pm in the Christopher's meeting room for our study.  We will order from the menu in order for our meal to be ready at 7:30pm.

"...to assist men to know Jesus Christ, to serve Him, to grow spiritually and seek daily to do his will."

See you there...
