The Lord’s Praying

We know Jesus talked a lot about praying…how to pray, what our hearts are to be, even a prayer we could use.  But what does it sound like when Jesus prays?  Come this Sunday and hear the Lord pray for his disciples then and now.  Together we will be blessed and challenged.

This past Sunday, May 13th, was Commitment Sunday for our "Field of Dreams" Capital Campaign.  Thus far 146 families have pledged $1,872,174 over the next three years to help fund the campus expansion.  Our goal to fund this project is $2.5 million.  This means we still have a $627, 826 shortfall to proceed with the project.  If you have not had an opportunity to turn in a pledge card, please bring your card this Sunday or by the church office at your earliest convenience.

The Sonshine Kids will perform “Under God’s Sea in 3D” Musical

Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the 11am service.

Traditional and ConneXion worship will still take place at its regular time;

8:15am and 9:30am respectively.

Virtual Dementia Tour

Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 12 – 3pm

Learning to create a positive environment for those with Dementia can only come from attempting to walk in their shoes.

This valuable experience is designed for individual and family use, both to identify with and understand your loved one’s behaviors and needs.

AUMC Blood Drive

Sunday, May 27th from 8:00 am—12:15 pm

Donor Coach in the Front Parking Lot

All potential donors must:

· be at least 17 years old to donate, 16 with parental consent.

· bring a valid picture ID prior to donation.

· weigh at least 110lbs. (16 year old donors must weigh 122lbs)

· be in general good health, without any cold or flu symptoms.

 HAAM is having their annual food drive throughout May and are collecting

nonperishable, kid-friendly food in the green collection barrels.

Monetary donations, toiletries, and baby supplies are also appreciated!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

3 years old (& potty trained) to 5th grade. Those who are going into 6th grade next year can volunteer!
